The Alfa Romeo Tonale PHEV uses a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that combines with a rear-mounted electric motor to produce 285 horsepower. Despite the decent performance, the Tonale’s handling is a bit disappointing. The steering system doesn’t provide feedback from the road, and body motions aren’t well controlled.
