Lincoln Aviator
Lincoln has earned a dubious distinction, becoming one of the few automakers to receive Consumer Reports’ “Most Unreliable” award two years in a row (2021 and 2022). Currently, it ranks as the second least reliable brand, trailing only Tesla.

The Lincoln Aviator, despite its luxury branding, is plagued by widespread issues—ranging from faulty airbags to problematic electronics. Maintenance costs are steep, with CarEdge estimating an average of $12,000 over a decade. And that’s just for routine upkeep; unexpected repairs, which are surprisingly common, can drive costs even higher. For a luxury vehicle, the Aviator’s reliability and expenses leave much to be desired.
